Meaningful employee engagement is critical to the success of large organizations like UnitedHealth Group (UHG). As the parent company of Rally Health, our title sponsor UHG wanted to leverage our partnership to authentically reinforce the importance of health and wellness at their annual Leadership Forum. The forum brings the top 1000 leaders from UnitedHealth Group together for three days of activities and seminars.

Highlights

Promoting healthy, active lifestyles and giving back to the community are two important organizational values for UHG. We created and executed a series of experiences at the event that gave employees the opportunity to embody those values through memorable activities.

Tour de UHG

A live spin class led by Rally Cycling athletes gave employees a new appreciation for cycling. Participants learned training and nutrition tips, while getting up close and personal with our partner brands’ products.

Bike Build Competition

We joined forces with Free Bikes 4 Kidz, an organization providing bikes to kids in need, turning bike builds into a speed-based competition for UHG employees with prizes for the fastest builders.

Health One-on-Ones with Kids

UHG employees partnered with kids from the community to create art posters celebrating healthy lifestyle choices alongside Rally Cycling athletes and mechanics.

The results

The experience exceeded expectations and garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback from UHG leadership and employees. It brought an energizing health and wellness message to the forum, while allowing employees to give back. It also stoked employee pride in the team and generated many new fans and followers.

  • More than 300 people attended the spin class.

  • Over 350 bikes were built and donated to needy

    children in the community.

  • Each assembled bike also generated a separate

    donation to another local charity.
